Defibrillators

How important is having an AED machine readily available to someone that suffers from a cardiac arrest?

In 2017-2018 the survival rates for patients that had received their first defibrillation shock by a public AED machine was 72%, compared with 62% from first res-ponders and only 48% survived when the patient received their first shock by an ambo.

These figures prove just how vital it is to your family and co-workers to have an operational AED readily available if an incident was ever to occur. When someone experiences SCA the longer they wait until their first shock the less chance of survival.
